Amy and Niall
Amy and Niall first came to visit Stemster House in February 2022 and from the moment we met them, it was clear how much they loved each other and their families.
They chose to have intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by close family and friends. It was a pleasure to be part of their day!
On the run up to their big day the couple visited Stemster House on a number of occasions, it was always a pleasure to be in their company. We have to mention Amy's mum, Lynne and her dedication to wedding planning, driving home from a trip away especially to be with us on our Open Day. I think it was made worth while when she met the lovely Alpacas from NC500 Alpacas!
Amy was keen to share their engagement story with us, a beautiful story it is too! "We had been looking at rings in Inverness on the 27th December 2021. I had selected a few I loved the most and I continued on wondering round the shops. Little did I know Niall was buying it then and there. We were then driving home the same day and Niall stopped the car at the top of Berridale Braes. He told me we were going a wee walk up the top of the hill where the sun was shining and the view was stunning. He then dropped down on one knee and popped the question. To say I was delighted was an understatement."
They married on 29th July 2023 at Stemster House followed by a reception at The Royal British Legion ,Thurso where all their family and friends joined them for a wonderful evening of celebration.
"We were so lucky to have found Stemster House and Jacqueline and her team. Everything about Stemster House is stunning. We absolutely fell in love with the grounds and all the trees, greenery and flowers surrounding it. It’s such a private place which made us both feel more at ease. Jacqueline was another reason we chose the venue, she was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome from start to finish, we will forever be grateful."
Amy was a stunning bride, her dress looked like it had been designed especially for her." I chose a stunning Stella York dress. Not what I thought I would choose, I wasn’t even going to try it on. However I’m so glad I did"
"Getting ready with my mum and two best friends - my bridesmaids made the day so exciting and they kept me calm! They were with me from start to finish. I don’t think I could have done it without them. They were there for everything and were so excited for me. The delivery of my flowers by Sandra at Flower Daze will be a moment I will never forget. My bouquet was perfect and it was everything I imagined it to be.
The funniest part of getting ready would have been when my dad came in the front door with 2 hanging plant pots asking us ‘do you like my earrings’!"
Niall said "Getting ready with my brothers and father who travelled across the country and world to get ready with me on my big day is something I’ll never forget."
Being part of Amy and Niall's day was such an honour.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bain!
